Elmore Leonard’s ten rules for writing
The great Elmore Leonard has sadly passed away.
As well as writing stories like Get Shorty, Out Of Sight and 3:10 to Yuma, he also famously penned ten rules for writing that have long been a Writer bookshelf favourite.
He summed them up with this fine guiding principle: ‘If it sounds like writing, I rewrite it.’
